The Car Club Association of Central New York was founded in the fall of 1988 by a group of dedicated car enthusiasts to provide communication between all of the local clubs. Organization of the car show dates was an early major goal. Keeping up with current legislation and informing our members is a priority. Networking regarding vendors for shows and needed parts is also a concern we address. With a 2003 membership of fifty-two clubs we now extend from Plattsburgh to Cortland and from Cooperstown to Penn Yan. We keep in contact through newsletters, email, attending car shows and ?Cruise Nights?. We maintain a web site at www.CNYCCA.org, which has our schedule and links to the webs sites of many of our clubs. We are a registered not for profit group. As volunteer workers at the ?Syracuse Nationals? since its? beginning, we have been given the opportunity to donate over fifty thousand dollars to local charities due to the kind hearts of the Syracuse Nationals organization. Club members often help smaller clubs in their efforts to put on shows. The Association also provides the clubs the opportunity to have their show advertised on posters and tear offs all over the Central New York area.
